‘夜カフェ’の違和感
首都圏にお住まいの方にお聞きします！
今年1月から１都６県のコンビニで販売されてるキリンの
「夜カフェ」
のことご存知ですか？
飲んだことありますか？
夜カフェは、女性をターゲットとしたアルコール飲料です。
アルコール度数４％。紅茶、カフェラテの2種類の味わい。
当ブランドは、キリンとしては初めて、
TVコマーシャルを流さず、インターネットを活用した
「口コミ」による販促に取り組んでいます。
具体的には、ツイッターや雑誌の読者モデルのブログ、
フェイスブックなどを通じて情報を流しています。
しかし、日経産業新聞（2011/03/04）の記事によれば、
現時点では売れ行きはもうひとつのようです。
実際の購入者層は、女性比率が６割と男性を上回り、
また、飲酒回数の少ないライトユーザーが約７割
（同社平均4割）ということで狙ったターゲットの
トライアルにはまずまず成功しています。
しかし、取っ掛かりの「認知度」が
なかなか上がらないようです。
ある情報に触れたとき、
それを思わず人に話したくなる度合いのことを
「トークバリュー（Talk Value）」
と言いますが、
「紅茶のお酒」
「カフェラテのお酒」
とういう製品自体のコンセプトは残念ながら、
あまり「トークバリュー」は高くないですよね。
キャンペーンサイトの仕掛けもインパクト不足であり、
やはりトークバリューを生み出せてるとは言いがたい。
（批評するのは簡単ですね。ごめんなさい）
さて、「夜カフェ」のトークバリューが低い理由を
掘り下げて考えてみると、そもそも、
「お酒と、紅茶・カフェラテとのイメージの乖離が
大きすぎるのではないか」
という仮説が立てられます。
キリンによれば、
「小容量のお酒を家でゆっくりと飲みたい」
という女性の需要に着目、リラックス効果の高い、
紅茶、カフェラテの味わいにしたそうですが。
しかし、お酒と紅茶・カフェラテの組み合わせって
なんか違和感あるのです。
正直、あんまり飲んでみたいと思わない。
（私は男性でメインターゲットじゃないんですけど）
あなたはどう感じますか。（特に女性の方に聞きたい）
お酒と紅茶・コーヒーは、どちらもリラックス効果が
ありますが実は質が違うんですね。
人の心理状態を以下の2軸で考えることがあります。
・覚醒水準：高い⇔低い
・緊張水準：高い⇔低い
覚醒水準とは、どれだけ意識がはっきりしているか
ということで、最も低い状態は寝ているとき。
一方、緊張水準は、精神がどれだけ張りつめているか。
緊張水準が低い状態をリラックス（弛緩）といいます。
それで、この2軸の組み合わせで４つの次元の心理状態
に分けるとすると次のようになりますね。
（１）覚醒水準：高 ＆ 緊張水準：高
危険な状態にあるとき、大舞台で上がって
しまっているときなど
（２）覚醒水準：高 ＆ 緊張水準：低
瞑想中や、フロー状態に入っているときなど
（３）覚醒水準：低 ＆ 緊張水準：高
これは現実にはあまり起こらない状況
（徹夜続きで仕事をしている状況が近いかも）
（４）覚醒水準：低 ＆ 緊張水準：低
お酒を飲んでいるとき、寝ているときなど
この次元で見ると明らかですが、
お酒のリラックスは（４）なのですね。
緊張を下げるだけでなく、
意識もぼんやりさせて心地よい気分を味わう。
一方、紅茶・コーヒーのリラックスは（２）です。
意識は明瞭だけど気持ちは緩んでいる。
余談ですが、（２）が最高の状態に達した時、
それを「フロー」とか、「ゾーンに入る」と言います。
よけいな力が抜けているけれど、意識は高いので、
理想的なパフォーマンスが発揮できる状態です。
本題に戻しましょう。
以上のことからおわかりのように、
お酒と紅茶・コーヒーを飲むときに人が
望むリラックス状態は明確に異なるのです。
まあ、理屈で説明すればこうなりますが、
私たちがなんとなく感じる違和感の根底には、
こういうことが感覚的にわかっているからでは
ないでしょうか。
さて、「夜カフェ」は、こうした本質的なお酒と
紅茶・カフェラテの相性の悪さを乗り越える
新たな価値を今後、示せるでしょうか？
